Experience

Charlotte Hayes-Sennett brings seven years of experience, including work with high-net-worth individuals and cases with international elements. Career highlights include:

- Acting for a client in divorce and financial remedy proceedings where funds were limited and achieving a cost-effective outcome. Charlotte negotiated with the respondent’s solicitors, managed a last-minute adjournment of the Financial Dispute Resolution (FDR) hearing, and ultimately secured a prompt settlement at the hearing with counsel’s support.

- Managing a child arrangements application alongside divorce and financial remedy proceedings for a client facing serious allegations of harm made by the other party. Charlotte supported the client through multiple hearings with counsel, resulting in a favourable child arrangements order and financial consent order.

- Representing a client responding to a last-minute non-molestation order application involving police attendance, resolving the matter swiftly by agreeing undertakings as a less contentious alternative.

- Assisting a Partner on a long‑running, highly contentious divorce and financial remedy dispute for an ultra‑high‑net‑worth individual, involving a family business valued at approximately £30 million, international property, the parties’ children joining the proceedings and applications for interim spousal maintenance and a Legal Services Payment Order. Charlotte was involved from initial instruction through to the final hearing over four years and received consistent praise for her dedication throughout.

Memberships & Accreditations

Charlotte Hayes‑Sennett is a member of Resolution, the national family law association dedicated to helping clients resolve issues constructively and without unnecessary conflict. 

She also dedicated three years to volunteering as a family law adviser with the Rights of Women telephone advice line, providing support and clear guidance to those seeking legal advice.

Beyond the Law

During the Christmas period, Charlotte volunteers with the charity Crisis providing shelter, hot meals, companionship and health services for people experiencing homelessness. She particularly enjoys raising spirits by chatting with the guests and putting her organisational skills to good use. 

Outside the office, Charlotte enjoys travelling and attends reformer Pilates classes as a form of self-care.
