Roger Boustred is a solicitor in our private client team, specialising in Wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate and trust work. Having been a partner in the firm of Henry Boustred & Sons, in which 4 generations of his family practised, Roger has considerable experience in delivering clear and practical advice and he represents many clients of all ages and backgrounds, including many no longer in “the first flush of youth”. He helps them in planning for passing on their wealth to the next generation, preparing for a time when they may need help in dealing with their finances, coping with the practical aftermaths of bereavement and acting as trustees/beneficiaries of trusts.
What sets Roger apart is the ability explain even complex matters in a clear and straightforward way and a commitment to treating clients with consideration and respect, something which clients both desire and value. He is also keen to ensure that the solutions which he offers, fully take into account both his clients’ wishes and the family dynamics which are relevant to the matters with which they are dealing.
Many clients also value the fact that Roger has been their solicitor over many years. This has given Roger the privilege and joy of building deep and enduring relationships with clients and frequently with their children.

Roger brings over 45 years of experience to the table, with a track record of handling many types of legal work including private client work which is the area on which he has focused for the past 25 years.
Beyond the Law
If Roger wasn’t a Solicitor, he would be involved in some way in education having been a school governor and chair of governors for a number of years. Roger is keen to see children and young people fulfilling their potential and one of the joys for him in working in Streathers Daynes Smith is the opportunity to work with young legal professionals just starting out in their careers and sharing with them some of his experience.
What keeps Roger busy away from the office? – His many grandchildren, his commitment to his local church, his enjoyment of music, including playing the guitar and singing, and his love of tennis.
