Receptionist & Legal Assistant

Cree is a Receptionist and Legal Assistant at Streathers Daynes Smith, where she combines a friendly, welcoming front-of-house presence with hands-on support to solicitors across the firm. She plays a key role in making sure clients feel comfortable, supported, and looked after from the moment they walk through the door.

Alongside her role, Cree is completing her Bar training and is building towards a future career at the Bar, with a particular interest in family and civil law. She is especially passionate about improving access to justice and supporting vulnerable individuals through the legal process.

Known for her bubbly and approachable personality, Cree brings a positive energy to the office and builds strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.

Cree’s approach is centred on clear communication, organisation, and creating a welcoming environment where clients feel supported and understood.

Experience

Cree brings valuable hands-on experience from her role at Streathers, supporting legal professionals across multiple practice areas while actively developing her advocacy skills and legal knowledge. Highlights of her experience include:

Supporting solicitors in private client matters, including attending meetings and assisting with document preparation
Acting as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a professional and positive front-of-house experience
Liaising with partner charities through her involvement in the firm’s Environmental Committee, contributing to community-focused initiatives
Assisting with the firm’s social media presence, helping to communicate its work and values more widely

Memberships & Accreditations

Cree is a member of The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and is currently completing her Bar training as she works towards a career at the Bar.

She is also part of the firm’s Environmental Committee, where she liaises with partner charities and supports community initiatives.

Alongside this, Cree was a Young Trustee with The Children's Society, contributing to youth advocacy work and supporting vulnerable young people.

Beyond the Law

Outside of work, Cree is currently learning sign language, reflecting her interest in accessibility and inclusive communication. She enjoys building skills that support both her personal development and future career at the Bar.
